Never Give Up

Life will always throw trials and tribulations your way. There are times where you just want to give up, and go back to bed. It’s a lot easier to just say I’m done, I can’t do this anymore. It takes a truly strong person to pick themselves up, and continue the fight. It takes a person like you, to never give up.

I suffer from several chronic illnesses. There’s times where I feel like I’m in a constant nightmare, and I can’t wake up. I have my highs but my lows are extremely low. No matter what I’ve gone through I keep pushing. I always tell myself I deserve a good life. I deserve to have my smile back. I deserve to conquer this. I can, and I will.

Sometimes, you can’t handle the pain anymore. Sometimes, you can’t handle the stress anymore. Sometimes, you can’t take it anymore. It takes finding your own personal strength from within. It takes the hunger to get out of this situation. It takes motivation, and heart to never give up.

It’s important to have a support system. When someone has your back, and the will to never give up, that’s the strength you may need. They hate seeing you like this, and just want the best for you. They need you to keep pushing. Sometimes, it takes love to show you, that you have people who need you to fight.

Life can be difficult. Everyone has a point in there life where they feel like they are struggling. No matter what you are going through, you can do this. You deserve to have an amazing life. You are strong, and you are enough. Keep fighting this battle, and never give up. β™‘

  1. Thank you for the great pep talk. I have just finished a most painful flare=up of my Rheumatoid. The swelling in my hands and fingers is coming back down as is the swelling in other joints. My right hand was unable to hold anything let alone actually move so the week was a struggle. Luckily I do have support to help me in times like these. I decided now that I feel better I’ll get dressed up when I go out. I’m worth the effort.

    1. Awww, thank you so much! That means a lot to me! It’s important to me that when I became sick, I didn’t want to be the main focus. Because I know others suffer out there with all different things and all I can do is try my best to uplift them.πŸ’›

  4. Your words ring truth. We should never give up. There is nothing that we can’t overcome if we just believe in ourselves and persevere. You don’t know how strong you are until strong is the only choice you have. Thanks for sharing.

  5. Beautifully said Mackenzie! I could not agree anymore with you. Living with a chronic illness that also causes SO much pain is so difficult and sometimes it seems like giving up is the easiest thing, but never giving up is the only option in my opinion! Your optimism and great personality is infectious and that is a great thing to be infected with! You have an incredible attitude about life and I wish more people could see things the way you do!!

  6. Beautifully said – And you’re so right, you deserve to smile, you deserve brighter days. It can be so hard to see this and remember it when things get tough, so I hope you read through your own post when you’re struggling. Thank you for sharing as I needed to read this today πŸ™‚
